Terms & Conditions
By using Praxilla's distributed rendering service, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms are divided into two sections: one for designers and one for rendering hosts.
2. Terms for Designers
- Designers can purchase either a 1-month or 1-year subscription to access our rendering services.
- Subscriptions will automatically begin on the day of purchase and will renew monthly or annually, depending on the chosen subscription type unless canceled by the designer.
2.2 Initial Free Period
For every designer's first-time subscription, Praxilla offers a varying free trial period as part of our promotional offers. The duration and conditions of this trial period (e.g., 10 days, or other durations) are exclusive to first-time subscribers and depend on the specific offer. The trial will end automatically if this is included in the offer. However, if the offer was for a monthly or yearly subscription, the free trial will not end automatically, and designers must cancel their subscription if they do not wish to continue beyond the trial period. No charges will apply during the free trial period.
2.3 Refund Policy
- Once the free period ends, designers waive their right to request a refund for their subscription.
2.4 Fair Use
- Currently, there's no set limit on how much rendering a designer can do. However, Praxilla reserves the right to introduce a fair use policy if deemed necessary.
2.5 Data Protection & Privacy
- We store designer data securely in an encrypted environment and use encrypted communication for all data transfers. We adhere fully to GDPR regulations.
- We will not sell, rent, or otherwise use your information inappropriately.
- We will never view your projects unless explicitly asked by you. All processes are 100% automated.
- Your projects will only be utilized for rendering purposes. They will not be used in any other manner unless you grant us explicit permission to do so.
- If required, we're willing to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) for any work you upload to our platform.
2.6 Service Availability & SLA
We provide continuous service availability. However, please be aware that occasionally, factors beyond our control, such as the availability of network nodes, may result in longer waiting times for rendering services. While we endeavor to maintain consistent service levels, we cannot offer compensation for delays caused by such external factors.
- Designers are entitled to support as per their subscription plan. We commit to responding within 24 hours, although resolution times may vary depending on the issue's complexity.
2.8 Intellectual Property
While the ownership of designs uploaded remains solely with the designer, by using our service, designers grant Praxilla a limited, non-exclusive license to process their creative property solely for the purpose of rendering services. This includes the right to store, transmit, and manipulate the data as necessary to provide the rendering services agreed upon. Praxilla acknowledges that this permission is solely for the purpose of rendering and does not imply any transfer of intellectual property rights. The designer's creative property will not be used for any other purposes without their explicit consent.
2.9 Termination of Service
- Praxilla reserves the right to terminate and cancel a designer's subscription without a refund in cases of system abuse, which includes, but is not limited to, uploading malicious files, multi-user access on a single subscription, or any other action we deem harmful to our service, infrastructure, or the host machines. Designers can cancel their subscription at any time, and they will have access to the service until the end of the subscription period.
3. Terms for Rendering Hosts
- Hosts must apply by providing accurate details about their PC specifications, address location, and other relevant details as specified on our website form.
- Hosts will be compensated on an hourly basis, calculated by considering the PC’s technical specifications, power consumption, and local electricity rates.
- Payment is capped at 10 hours per day. Any additional hours beyond this will not be compensated. Payments will be executed on the last day of each calendar month.
3.3 Data Security & Confidentiality
- Hosts agree to ensure the security and confidentiality of all files rendered on their machines.
- Unauthorized access to, or leakage of, files being rendered is strictly prohibited.
- False reporting of PC specifications, hardware manipulation, or post-reporting hardware changes that diminish performance can result in a permanent ban. Unauthorized data access or leaks will also lead to a ban and possible legal action.
3.5 Dispute Resolution
- In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to engage in good faith negotiations to resolve the matter. If negotiations fail, disputes will be settled by a neutral arbitrator in Austria.
4. General Provisions
- This agreement and any disputes arising from it are governed by the laws of Austria and the EU.
4.2 Changes to Terms
- Praxilla reserves the right to update or change these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the service constitutes agreement to the new terms.
